3M™ 591X Flock Pile Lapping Film consists of micron-graded mineral particles coated onto a fibrous polyester film backing.These films break down into a slurry when used with water for polishing MT style, multi-fiber ferrules.Utilizing Cerium Oxide material, these tiny fibers act as a smaller, less aggressive abrasive, as they can move away from or around the work surface.Additionally, it resists tearing from sharp objects that may protrude from certain work surfaces.
