D02AF80H3P1
ÅngströmLap Sequoia 0.2um Diamond Lapping Film, 8" Disc with center hole, with PSA and 3mil Backing, single disc.
The ÅngströmLap Sequoia Diamond Lapping Film is an abrasive film used for polishing the end-face of fiber optic connectors. Its purpose is to shape the fiber geometries, such as restoring or forming the Radius of Curvature and Apex Offset of the ferrule.Diamond film exhibits an extended lifespan compared to conventional films, and its high-cut rate enables more efficient material removal for a faster polishing process.
The 8" film disc is the standard size for the Ultra Tec Ultrapol 1200, some Buelher Polishing Machine, as well as others.
Lapping Film Features:
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is only recommended when it is completely necessary.Once the film is stuck to the polish surface it cannot be removed and reused. This creates a potential and likely problem of debris adhering to the film that cannot be removed.Any debris that comes in contact with the fiber may cause a scratch.PSA will increase the cost of the lapping film.
