QUESTION: How long is the setup time for a Halide deposition compared to solution doping soot deposition?

ANSWER:

Assuming the MCVD system is set up for a standard preform, the halide system (rotary joint and injection system) can be installed in a day.A typical Halide batch of material will take approximately 2 days to prepare.After this,1 preform per day can be manufactured.
